June-30-12 - Weaverville Airport (O54) - 3rd annual Young Eagles fly in - EAA chapter 157 is hosting a Young Eagles event where we give rides for free to kids ages 7-17. I fly a Robinson R44, also planes will fly. This year i am looking for more pilots and static displays, we need to have all fly ins on airport by 8am. This is a small community that sits at the base of the Trinity Alps, and has a one way in and out airport, so check the AFD for info. Also, you need be a national EAA member if you are planning to fly any kids. Also, because of the steep slope and one way in and out, I demand at least 3 takeoffs and 3 landings prior to flying any kids in the name of safety first!!! No exceptions. Would love to see some gyrocopters here, so come and join us if you can. I will provide lunch for anyone that fly's in. Also, i have asked our local Medivac heli's to show, as well as CHP, National Guard, Coast Guard, as you can tell I am a rotor head!! Come to the Anoka County Airport in Blaine and enjoy flying demonstrations, kid's activities, numerous aviation exhibits, aircraft & helicopter rides, food booths and more! General aviation and corporate aircraft, experimental, WWII fighters, trainers and bombers and modern military aircraft will all be on display. Those interested in a career in aviation can stop by the numerous aviation and education booths. A Pancake Breakfast & Lunch to be served both days. Admission to Discover Aviation Days is FREE. However, we are asking for a parking donation to aid in covering event costs. The pancake breakfast, hangar dance and air rides all require fees.
This year's Special Feature - "American Veterans Traveling Tribute" This large exhibit is an 80% scale of the Vietnam wall in Washington DC. Opening ceremonies for this to be held Friday June 1st at 12:00 noon.

08/27/2011 - Waukesha County Airport (KUES) - Wings over Waukesha Air Show will feature Jim "Fang" Maroney Super Chipmunk aerobatics, John Mohr Stearman barnstorming aerobatics, Dave Dacy-Tony Kazian wingwalking, Dr. Bill Blank Super Decathlon aerobatics and much more. The Yankee Air Museum’s B-25 bomber will be on display, in the daily air show at 1:00 p.m. and will also sell rides for $400 per person.
